The Founder, Candace Phillips

CANDACE PHILLIPS has been in the hair industry for over 25 years, salon owner/mentor over 17 years. Originally from Lansing, MI, starting as a shampoo girl, at the age 12, under the meticulous training of Terri Nelson. It was then she was introduced to John Paul Mitchell Systems, and hence the love affair began. Upon completion of beauty school, while simultaneously graduating high school with honors, she continued on to college at Grambling State University in Louisiana, graduating with a BA in Sociology. She is a trained Paul Mitchell Educator and Platform Artist/Educator for KMB Salon Systems. She also owns and operates CandyShoppe Hair Studio in Atlanta, GA, since 2004. She has also been acknowledged by the Atlanta Fashion Awards, for "BEST HAIRSTYLIST IN ATLANTA 2010" and 2014 BEST of ATLANTA AWARD in the HAIR COLORING category by Atlanta Awards Program.

Atlanta has been her home since 1999, adopting local mentors such as Tom Harris, Charles Gregory, Sherita Cherry, Sam Dobbs, & Tony Promisciuo to name a few. She has trained under some of the top hairstylists in the world.

In addition to her cutting edge looks and trademark three dimensional coloring & blonding techniques, she has perfected the long, flowing styles she's known for as well! Candace creates ultra-modern, chic styles while also focusing on hair's optimum health.

She believes in a photo ready finish, with a touch of Fab! Her looks range from board room ready to runway! This type of creativity, energy, and speed has made her a favorite with photographers!

Her work has been seen on Various Artists, T.V. Personalities, and Magazines, such as "Good Day Atlanta", "Ambush Makeover”, “Jezebel Magazine", Bronner Bros Hair Show, & even charities events (which is a passion of hers). She’s an industry trendsetter… The Hairstylist’s Hairstylist…
